The acylation of β-dicarbonyl compounds containing a fluoromethylene group gave the C- or O-alkyl derivatives.With carboxylic acid halides dimethyl fluoromalonate gives the C-acyl derivatives, while ethyl ethoxalylfluoroacetate with the O-acyl derivatives.The reaction of ethyl ethoxalylfluoroacetate with cyanogen chloride takes place at the carbon atom.Acid cleavage of the obtained compounds leads to ethyl cyanofluoroacetate.
