ZINC COMPLEXES OF CHIRAL PHENOLS AS CATALYSTS FOR ENANTIOSELECTIVE ADDITION OF ORGANOZINC REAGENTS TO ALDEHYDES
Corey, E. J.,Hannon, Francis J.
, p. 5237 - 5240 (1987)
A class of zinc(II) chelates with chiral tertiary amino phenolic alcohols serve as effective catalysts for the enantioselective addition of diethylzinc to aromatic aldehydes with predictable absolute stereochemistry.
Asymmetric synthesis XXII: Asymmetric catalytic trimethylsilylcyanation of benzaldehyde by novel Ti(IV)-chiral Schiff base complexes
Jiang,Zhou,Hu,Wu,Mi
, p. 405 - 408 (2007/10/02)
Benzaldehyde has been trimethylsilylcyanated with a catalyst prepared in situ from titanium tetraisopropoxide and a novel chiral Schiff base. Both (R) and (S) cyanohydrins are obtained in moderate e.e. values.
