12025-34-2 Usage
Description
Germanium disulfide (GeS2) or germanium (IV) sulfide is a white high melting crystalline solid. It is a 3-dimensional polymer.1 It can be obtained by the reaction between hydrogen sulfide and germanium tetrachloride in a concentrated hydrochloric acid solution. It is used as a semiconductor. It is also used in photo optic applications, e.g. in chalcogenide glasses for second harmonic generation.2

Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 12025-34-2 includes 8 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 5 digits, 1,2,0,2 and 5 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 3 and 4 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 12025-34:
(7*1)+(6*2)+(5*0)+(4*2)+(3*5)+(2*3)+(1*4)=52
52 % 10 = 2
So 12025-34-2 is a valid CAS Registry Number.
