12062-25-8 Usage
Uses
Used in Chemical Industry:
Ferrous hexafluorosilicate is used as a raw material for the production of iron compounds, such as iron pigments and iron salts. It serves as a source of iron, which is essential for the synthesis of these compounds.
Used in Pesticide Industry:
Ferrous hexafluorosilicate is used as a raw material in the manufacturing of insecticides. Its iron content contributes to the effectiveness of these insecticides in controlling pests.
Used in Wood Preservation Industry:
Ferrous hexafluorosilicate is used in the production of wood preservatives. The iron in FERROUS HEXAFLUOROSILICATE helps protect wood from decay and insect damage, extending its lifespan.
Used in Water Treatment Industry:
Ferrous hexafluorosilicate is used as a corrosion inhibitor in water treatment processes. It helps prevent the corrosion of pipes and other water infrastructure, ensuring the longevity and integrity of these systems.
Used in Dental Care Industry:
Ferrous hexafluorosilicate is used as a fluoride source in some dental care products. The fluoride content helps strengthen tooth enamel and prevent dental caries.
However, it is important to note that ferrous hexafluorosilicate is considered toxic if ingested or inhaled. Therefore, its use should be carefully regulated to prevent potential health hazards.
Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 12062-25-8 includes 8 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 5 digits, 1,2,0,6 and 2 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 2 and 5 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 12062-25:
(7*1)+(6*2)+(5*0)+(4*6)+(3*2)+(2*2)+(1*5)=58
58 % 10 = 8
So 12062-25-8 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Phase transitions in iron(II) hexafluorosilicate and perrhenate complexes with 4-amino-1,2,4-triazole
Berezovskii,Shakirova,Shvedenkov,Lavrenova
, p. 1054 - 1058 (2007/10/03)
The heat capacity and magnetic susceptibility of iron(II) hexafluorosilicate and perrhenate coordination compounds with 4-amino-1,2,4-triazole (A), FeA3SiF6·H2O (I) and FeA3(ReO4)2 (II), were measured in the temperature range 80-350 K. The 1A1 ? 5T2 spin transition was observed in I and II. The magnetochemical data were used to determine the transition temperatures during heating (255 and 228 K for I and II, respectively). Heat capacity anomalies with maxima at 251 K for I and 231 K for II well correlated with magnetic susceptibility measurements. The enthalpies and entropies of spin transitions were determined for both compounds. One more anomaly with a maximum at 323 K was observed for I. This anomaly might be caused by a change in the structure of the anion during heating.
