Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 121399-88-0 includes 9 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 6 digits, 1,2,1,3,9 and 9 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 8 and 8 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 121399-88:
(8*1)+(7*2)+(6*1)+(5*3)+(4*9)+(3*9)+(2*8)+(1*8)=130
130 % 10 = 0
So 121399-88-0 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

2,3,7,8,12,13,17,18-Octafluoro-5,10,15,20-tetraarylporphyrins and Their Zinc Complexes: First Spectroscopic, Electrochemical, and Structural Characterization of a Perfluorinated Tetraarylmetalloporphyrin

Woller, Eric K.,DiMagno, Stephen G.

, p. 1588 - 1593 (1997)

We report a convenient and general synthesis of β-octafluoroporphyrins bearing meso-tetraaryl substituents, including the first synthesis and full characterization of a perfluorinated tetraarylporphyrin, perfluoro-5,10,15,20-tetraphenylporphyrin, 2. The structural, spectroscopic, and electrochemical data indicate that β-octafluoro-meso-tetraarylporphyrins are a new class of planar, electron-deficient ligands. Particularly impressive is the 0.5 V window over which the formal oxidation potential can be tuned using only aryl substituents. The invariance of the ligand structure with increasingly positive formal oxidation potential is a key advance; electronic effects have been severed from the nonplanar conformations exhibited by all other highly electron-deficient porphyrins.

Perfluorinated meso-aryl-substituted expanded porphyrins

Shimizu, Soji,Shin, Ji-Young,Furuta, Hiroyuki,Ismael, Rami,Osuka, Atsuhiro

, p. 78 - 82 (2003)

Twisted figure-of-eight structures are found for the perfluorinated meso-aryl-substituted expanded porphyrins synthesized from 3,4-difluoropyrrole and pentafluorobenzaldehyde under modified Rothemund-Lindsey conditions. The crystal structure of the [26]hexaphyrin (see picture) consists of two almost planar tripyrrolic subunits which are tilted by approximately 60° in which a distinct alternation in the bond lengths of the π-electronic system is evident.

2,3,7,8,12,13,17,18-Octafluoro-5,10,15,20-Tetrakis(pentafluorophenyl) porphyrin

Leroy, Jacques,Bondon, Arnaud,Toupet, Loic

, p. 464 - 466 (1999)

The core of the title compound, C44H2F28N4, is essentially planar while the pentafluorophenyl groups are nearly perpendicular to the mean porphyrin plane. The molecule is centrosymmetric.

Octafluoro-meso-tetraarylporphyrins and methods for making these compounds

-

, (2008/06/13)

The novel compounds of the present invention are beta -octafluoro-meso-tetraarylporphyrins of formula (I) and their metallic complexes of formula (II): beta -octafluoro-meso-tetraaryl porphyrins are synthesized by reacting 3,4-difluoropyrrole with an aromatic aldehyde in the presence of boron trifluoride etherate, followed by oxidation. The difluoropyrrole used in this reaction is produced by reacting 3,3,4,4-tetrafluoropyrroline or its corresponding salt, 3,3,4,4-tetrafluoropyrrolidinium salt, with a base such as potassium tert-butoxide. The metalloporphyrins of the present invention are synthesized by deprontonating beta -octafluoro-meso-tetraarylporphyrin ligands and treating said ligands with metal ions.
