(E)-α-Arylsulfanylvinylstannanes react with acyl halides in the presence of a catalytic amount of Pd(PPh3)4 and CuI cocatalyst to give stereoselectively the corresponding (Z)-α-arylsulfanyl- α,β-unsaturated ketones in good yields.
