Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 1229445-80-0 includes 10 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 7 digits, 1,2,2,9,4,4 and 5 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 8 and 0 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 1229445-80:
(9*1)+(8*2)+(7*2)+(6*9)+(5*4)+(4*4)+(3*5)+(2*8)+(1*0)=160
160 % 10 = 0
So 1229445-80-0 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

AuI-catalyzed intramolecular cyclization of 2-alkenylphenyl carbonyl compounds: Exploring the oxophilic Lewis acidity of AuI species

Jagdale, Arun R.,Youn, So Won

, p. 3904 - 3910 (2011/09/15)

A AuI-catalyzed intramolecular cyclization reaction of 2-alkenylphenyl carbonyl compounds to afford a variety of indene, indenol, and indanone ring systems was developed. In this process, AuI serves to activate the carbonyl group of β-keto esters, aldehydes, and ketones, preferentially exhibiting oxophilicity in the presence of C-C multiple bonds. Furthermore, β-keto esters could participate as the electrophilic partner in reactions with carbon nucleophile such as alkenes. Copyright

A tandem catalytic approach to methyleneindenes: Mechanistic insights into gem -dibromoolefin reactivity

Bryan, Christopher S.,Lautens, Mark

supporting information; experimental part, p. 2754 - 2757 (2010/08/07)

(Figure presented) The methylenindene scaffold can be prepared from readily available gem-dibromoolefins using an efficient palladium-catalyzed tandem intermolecular Suzuki/intramolecular Heck reaction. The reaction is highly modular and proceeds under mild conditions. The choice of ligand was found to be crucial to control the selectivity of the reaction. Isolation of intermediates under different conditions provides insight into the mechanism.
