DESIGN AND SYNTHESIS OF SUBSTRATE ANALOGS FOR THE INHIBITION OF DEHYDROQUINATE SYNTHASE

The synthesis of two enantiomerically pure substrate analogs, designed as potential inhibitors of dehydroquinate synthase on the basis of the proposed mechanistic pathway for this enzyme, is reported.
