Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 12315-09-2 includes 8 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 5 digits, 1,2,3,1 and 5 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 0 and 9 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 12315-09:
(7*1)+(6*2)+(5*3)+(4*1)+(3*5)+(2*0)+(1*9)=62
62 % 10 = 2
So 12315-09-2 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Knudsen effusion mass spectrometric determination of metal hydroxide stabilities

Gorokhov,Milushin,Emelyanov

, p. 395 - 403 (2008/10/08)

Knudsen effusion mass spectrometric measurements of gaseous equilibria in vapors of Cr and Fe oxides, with admission of hydrogen or deuterium into an effusion cell, have been conducted. From the third-law calculations, the values of dissociation energy Do (M-OH) have been obtained (kJ mol-1): CrOH, 372.7 ± 14; CrOD, 377.2 ± 14; FeOH, 345.8 ± 17. Comparison of data on the monofluoride and monohydroxide bond energies has led to a simple relation Do (M-OH) = Do(MF) - 134.
