The reaction of β-diketones with the dihydrazides of oxalic and malonic acids leads to the products from condensation in a ratio of 2:1.In the crystalline state they exist in the dipyrazoline form.In solutions an aquilibrium is established between the dipyrazoline form, represented by two diastereomers, and the forms containing hydrazone or enehydrazine fragments.
