1237479-38-7 Usage
Description
2-Ethylhexyl 4,6-Dibromo-3-fluorothieno[3,4-b]thiophene-2-carboxylate has been used for the synthesis low band gap polymer semiconductors such as PTB-7?and PCE10 (also called PTB7-Th or PBDTTT-EFT) for OFETs, OLED, PLED?and OPV applications.
Uses
2-Ethylhexyl 4,6-dibromo-3-fluorothieno[3,4-b]thiophene-2-carboxylate (TTF) can be used in the synthesis of diketopyrrolopyrrole (DPP) based low band polymers for the fabrication of organic field-effect transistors (OFETs). It can also be used in the synthesis of narrow band-gap polymers like PBDTT-OS-TT-EF (1.52 eV) and PBDTT-OS-TT-CF (1.56 eV) for polymeric solar cells.
Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 1237479-38-7 includes 10 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 7 digits, 1,2,3,7,4,7 and 9 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 3 and 8 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 1237479-38:
(9*1)+(8*2)+(7*3)+(6*7)+(5*4)+(4*7)+(3*9)+(2*3)+(1*8)=177
177 % 10 = 7
So 1237479-38-7 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

, (2017/10/28)
A method of making a fluorothieno[3,4-b]thiophene derivatives and photovoltaic polymers containing same using 3-bromothiophene-2-carboxylic acid as a starting material. This synthetic route provides an easier synthesis as well as greater yield and a purer product, which produces superior results over the prior art less pure products. The resulting materials can be used in a variety of photovoltaic applications and devices, especially solar cells.
