To improve element characteristics of a light-emitting element by application of the novel heterocyclic compound to the light-emitting element. A heterocyclic compound represented by a general formula (G1) and a light-emitting element formed using the heterocyclic compound represented by the general formula (G1) are provided. When the heterocyclic compound represented by the general formula (G1) is used for the light-emitting element, the characteristics of the light-emitting element can be improved.
