Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 12595-65-2 includes 8 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 5 digits, 1,2,5,9 and 5 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 6 and 5 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 12595-65:
(7*1)+(6*2)+(5*5)+(4*9)+(3*5)+(2*6)+(1*5)=112
112 % 10 = 2
So 12595-65-2 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Laser fluorescence studies of metal clusters: Spectroscopy of molecular bismuth

Bondybey, V. E.,English, J. H.

, p. 42 - 48 (2007/10/02)

The electronic spectra of Bin clusters in solid Ne and Ar matrices are studied by absorption and laser induced fluorescence techniques. The Bi2 -> spectrum appears to be unperturbed by the solid medium.A second, slightly lower lying excited electronic state may also be due to Bi2.Spectra belonging to another bismuth cluster, most likely to Bi4 are also observed and analyzed. The vibrational frequencies of the emitting species are determined. The spectrum in consistent with a Td structure for the tetramer, but shows no evidence of Jahn-Teller distortions.
