Chiral, non-racemic 1-lithio-2-alkenyl carbamates, generated by stereospecific deprotonation, are stannylated in a syn-S(E), reaction. The optically active allylstannanes thus obtained, undergo enantioselective homoaldol addition under the influence of TiCl4.
