Oxidative formation of phosphorodithioates via H-phosphonodithioates
Seeberger, Peter H.,Caruthers, Marvin H.
, p. 695 - 698 (1995)
H-Phosphonodithioate esters can be linked to a second alcohol via an oxidative coupling procedure to generate a phosphorodithioate diester. Nucleoside-cholesterol and nucleoside-amino acid phosphorodithioates were synthesized via this route.
2′-Deoxynucleoside dithiophosphates: Synthesis and biological studies
Seeberger, Peter H.,Yau, Eric,Caruthers, Marvin H.
, p. 1472 - 1478 (2007/10/02)
Deoxyadenosine 5′- and 3′-dithiophosphate and thymidine 5′- and 3′-dithiophosphate were synthesized. These are the first examples of this class of compounds. Although several synthesis strategies were examined, the most successful involved coupling deoxyn
Synthesis of oligonucleotide phosphorodithioates
Beaton,Brill,Grandas,Ma,Nielsen,Yau,Caruthers
, p. 2377 - 2388 (2007/10/02)
The synthesis of DNA containing sulfur at the two nonbonding internucleotide valencies is reported. Several different routes using either tervalent or pentavalent mononucleotide synthons are described.
