Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 1296172-67-2 includes 10 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 7 digits, 1,2,9,6,1,7 and 2 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 6 and 7 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 1296172-67:
(9*1)+(8*2)+(7*9)+(6*6)+(5*1)+(4*7)+(3*2)+(2*6)+(1*7)=182
182 % 10 = 2
So 1296172-67-2 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Remazol-Catalyzed Hydroperoxyarylation of Styrenes

Chen, Ying-Ho,Lee, Ming,Lin, Yi-Zhen,Leow, Dasheng

supporting information, p. 1618 - 1621 (2015/08/06)

A mild photocatalytic hydroperoxyarylation of styrenes has been developed, in which a novel photocatalyst, remazol brilliant blue R (RBBR), is employed at low catalytic loading (1 mol%). The operationally easy procedure uses air as the dioxygen source. Simple mono-substituted styrenes react with aryl hydrazines in moderate-to-good yields. RBBR is proposed to act as a photosensitizer for the generation of singlet oxygen.

A mild oxidative aryl radical addition into alkenes by aerobic oxidation of arylhydrazines

Taniguchi, Tsuyoshi,Zaimoku, Hisaaki,Ishibashi, Hiroyuki

scheme or table, p. 4307 - 4312 (2011/05/07)

A mild and practical oxyarylation of alkenes by oxidative radical addition has been developed by using aerobic oxidation of hydrazine compounds. The use of a catalytic amount of potassium ferrocyanide trihydrate (K4[Fe(CN) 6]·3 H2O) and water accelerated this radical reaction to give peroxides or alcohols from simple alkenes in good yields. The environmentally friendly and economical radical reactions were achieved at room temperature in the presence of iron catalyst, oxygen gas, and water. A method involving aniline as a radical precursor is also described. Copyright
