Benzopyrylium chlorides and triethylphosphite or diphenylphosphinic acid isopropylester react independent of the position of substituents in the pyrylium ring only in 4-position.On the other hand 2-(chlorodiethylphosphono methyl)-furane 12 with triethylphosphite gives a mixture of the expected gem. bisphosphonate 14 and the product with the second diethylphosphono group in the furane ring (15).Key words: Phosphorylated benzopyranes; bis-diethylphosphono-methylfuranes; 13C-, 31P-NMR data.
