Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 130977-41-2 includes 9 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 6 digits, 1,3,0,9,7 and 7 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 4 and 1 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 130977-41:
(8*1)+(7*3)+(6*0)+(5*9)+(4*7)+(3*7)+(2*4)+(1*1)=132
132 % 10 = 2
So 130977-41-2 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

The 'Baylis - Hillman reaction' mechanism and applications revisited

Fort, Yves,Berthe, Marie Christine,Caubere, Paul

, p. 6371 - 6384 (2007/10/02)

It is shown that reaction of aryl, benzyl, alkyl and functionalised alkyl acrylic esters with benzaldehyde, in the presence of 1,4-diazabicyclo[2.2.2] octane, strongly depends upon the electronic and steric effects of the ester part. This influence is also observed in condensation of furfuraldehyde. Moreover, for the first time, it is shown that the overall condensation is equilibrated.

Terminal Hydroxyalkyl Acrylates as Substrates for Baylis-Hillman Reaction

Basavaiah, D.,Sarma, P. K. S.

, p. 1611 - 1615 (2007/10/02)

Terminal hydroxyalkyl acrylates couple with aldehydes under the catalytic influence of DABCO producing the desired multifunctional molecules.
