2-/4-Arylamino-1,4-/1,2-naphthoquinones 4, 6, 7 and 13 are brominated with ethylbromide/DMSO to give 2-/4-arylamino-3-bromo-1,4-/1,2-naphthoquinones 2, 5, 8 and 14. 2-/4-(N-alkyl-arylamino)-1,4/1,2-naphthoquinones 6a and 13 are arylbrominated too.
