On the contrary: Isolated benzylpalladium aryloxide complexes undergo C(sp3)-O bond-forming reductive elimination by a stepwise ionic mechanism (see scheme) distinct from the accepted concerted pathway for reductive elimination of aromatic ethers from arylpalladium(II) species.
