Two new quinoline alkaloids, 5,7-dimethoxy-4-(4-methoxyphenyl)-2(1H)quinolinone (1) and 8-hydroxy-5,7-dimethoxy-4-(4-methoxyphenyl)-2(1H)-quinolinone (2) were synthesized.
