Uses
Used in Inks, Textiles, and Plastics Industry:
1-(Phenylthio)anthraquinone is used as a dye and pigment for its deep red color, providing vibrant hues in inks, textiles, and plastics, enhancing the visual appeal and colorfastness of these products.
Used in Photodynamic Therapy for Cancer Treatment:
1-(Phenylthio)anthraquinone is utilized as a photosensitizer in photodynamic therapy, where its ability to generate toxic reactive oxygen species upon light irradiation aids in the selective destruction of cancer cells, offering a targeted and minimally invasive treatment option.
Used in Organic Electronic Devices:
1-(Phenylthio)anthraquinone is studied for its potential as a material in organic electronic devices due to its unique electronic properties, which could contribute to the development of advanced electronic components and systems with improved performance and efficiency.
Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 13354-35-3 includes 8 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 5 digits, 1,3,3,5 and 4 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 3 and 5 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 13354-35:
(7*1)+(6*3)+(5*3)+(4*5)+(3*4)+(2*3)+(1*5)=83
83 % 10 = 3
So 13354-35-3 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

-
Page/Page column 33-34, (2008/12/08)
The invention relates to a colourant composition comprising in a weight ratio of from 99:1 to 10:90, preferably a weight ratio of from 95:5 to 30:70, particularly preferred a weight ratio of from 95:5 to 50:50, a pigment of average particle size from 10 to 200nm and a 1- or 2-phenylthio-substituted anthraquinones of greenish-yellow colour hue, lacking electron-rich N( III), O( II) and further S( II) substituents on the anthraquinone ring. The compositions are particularly useful in patterned colour filters. Compounds wherein the 1- or 2-phenylthio group is substituted by SOR10, SO2R10, SO3R10, SO2NR11R12, CN, COR10, COOR10 or CONR11R12, or the anthraquinone group is substituted by SO2NR11R12are also claimed, with a few exceptions. The invention also relates to a compound of Formula (III) or (IV), wherein at least one of R1, R2and R3is SOR10, SO2R10, SO3R10, SO2NR11R12, CN or COR10, or at least one of R7, R8 and R9 is SO2NR11R12, with the proviso that R3 is not SO2NH2.
