Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 13682-62-7 includes 8 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 5 digits, 1,3,6,8 and 2 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 6 and 2 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 13682-62:
(7*1)+(6*3)+(5*6)+(4*8)+(3*2)+(2*6)+(1*2)=107
107 % 10 = 7
So 13682-62-7 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Reduction of gold(III) by ammonia in aqueous solutions at 150°C

Kovalenko,Chuprov,Pashkov

, p. 1745 - 1749 (2008/10/09)

The reduction of gold(III) by ammonia in aqueous alkali at 150°C was studied by coulometric titration, X-ray powder diffraction, and chemical analysis. The reduction process is described by the equation Au3+ + NH3 + 3OH- → Au0 + 0.5N2 + 3H2O. The hydroxide ion does not reduce gold(III) in strongly alkaline media at 150°C.
