Uses
Used in Agriculture:
2,4-dichloro-6-(methylthio)-1,3,5-triazine is used as a herbicidal agent for controlling a wide range of broadleaf weeds and grasses in crops such as wheat, maize, and soybeans. It functions by inhibiting photosynthesis in plants, disrupting their growth, and ultimately leading to their death. This helps to protect and enhance crop yields by reducing competition for resources.
Used in Pest Management:
In the field of pest management, 2,4-dichloro-6-(methylthio)-1,3,5-triazine is utilized as a selective herbicide to target specific weeds without causing significant harm to the desired crop species. This selective action allows for more efficient and targeted weed control, reducing the need for labor-intensive manual weeding and promoting sustainable agricultural practices.
Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 13705-05-0 includes 8 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 5 digits, 1,3,7,0 and 5 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 0 and 5 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 13705-05:
(7*1)+(6*3)+(5*7)+(4*0)+(3*5)+(2*0)+(1*5)=80
80 % 10 = 0
So 13705-05-0 is a valid CAS Registry Number.
