Paragraph 0211; 0212; 0213, (2017/01/02)
The invention relates to organic electroluminescent materials and devices. A composition including a first compound is disclosed. The first compound is capable of functioning as a phosphorescent emitter in an organic light emitting device at room temperature; wherein the first compound has at least one aromatic ring and at least one substituent R; wherein each of the at least one R is an organic group having at least two atoms of X; wherein each X is independently selected from the group consisting of Si, and Ge; and wherein each of the at least one R is directly bonded to one of the aromatic rings.
5-SUBSTITUTED 2-PHENYLQUINOLINE COMPLEXES MATERIALS FOR LIGHT EMITTING DIODE
-
, (2012/11/13)
Compounds are provided that comprise a ligand having a 5-substituted 2-phenylquinoline. In particular, the 2-phenylquinoline may be substituted with a bulky alkyl at the 5-position. These compounds may be used in organic light emitting devices, in particular as red emitters in the emissive layer of such devices, to provide devices having improved properties.
