Spiro Naphthoxazine Derivatives of Furanose Sugars

Sugar derivatives in which a -(CHOH)- or -O- group has been replaced with a -(NOH)- group spontaneously oxidize to the corresponding aminoxyl free radicals leading to spin-labelled sugar analogs structurally very close to the natural molecules.In order to develop and improve molecular machanics parameters for sugar hydroxylamines and aminoxyls, we prepared N-hydroxynapht-1,3-oxazine sugar derivatives.
