Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 146453-40-9 includes 9 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 6 digits, 1,4,6,4,5 and 3 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 4 and 0 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 146453-40:
(8*1)+(7*4)+(6*6)+(5*4)+(4*5)+(3*3)+(2*4)+(1*0)=129
129 % 10 = 9
So 146453-40-9 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Immunostimulatory activities of monoglycosylated α-D-pyranosylceramides

Uchimura, Akira,Shimizu, Toshiyuki,Morita, Masahiro,Ueno, Hitomi,Motoki, Kazuhiro,Fukushima, Hideaki,Natori, Takenori,Koezuka, Yasuhiko

, p. 2245 - 2249 (2007/10/03)

We compared the immunostimulatory effects of chemically synthesized α-galactosylceramides (α-GalCers), α-glucosylceramides (α-GluCers), 6''- monoglycosylated α-GalCer and 6''- or 4''-monoglycosylated α-GluCer and made the following observations: (1) the length of the fatty acid side chain in the ceramide portions greatly affects the immunostimulatory effects of α-GalCers and α-GluCers; (2) the configuration of the 4''-hydroxyl group of the inner pyranose moiety plays an important role in the immunostimulatory effects of monoglycosylated α-D-pyranosylceramides; (3) the free 4''-hydroxyl group of the inner pyranose of monoglycosylated α-D-pyranosylceramides plays a more important role in their immunostimulatory effects than the free 6''-hydroxyl group.

SYNTHETIC STUDY ON GLYCOPHOSPHATIDYL INOSITOL (GPI) ANCHOR OF TRYPANOSOMA BRUCEI: GLYCOHEPTAOSYL CORE

Murakata, Chikara,Ogawa, Tomoya

, p. 2439 - 2442 (2007/10/02)

A stereocontrolled approach to the synthesis of glycoheptaosyl core of glycophosphatidyl inositol (GPI) anchor of Trypanosoma brucei is described for the first time.
