Vanadium,oxobis[2-[(phenylimino-kN)methyl]phenolato-kO]- is a complex chemical compound that features vanadium as the central metal atom. It is characterized by its unique structure, where two phenolato ligands are connected to the vanadium through oxygen atoms (kO). Each phenolato ligand has a phenylimino group (kN) attached to it, which is a phenyl ring with an imino group (-NH-). The compound also contains a methyl group attached to the phenylimino group. This complex structure gives the compound unique properties and potential applications in various fields, such as catalysis and materials science.

Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 14783-75-6 includes 8 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 5 digits, 1,4,7,8 and 3 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 7 and 5 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 14783-75:
(7*1)+(6*4)+(5*7)+(4*8)+(3*3)+(2*7)+(1*5)=126
126 % 10 = 6
So 14783-75-6 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Normal and mixed-ligand chelates of vanadyl(IV) with Schiff bases

Sacconi,Campigli

, p. 606 - 611 (2008/10/08)

Vanadyl(IV) chloride reacts with ring-substituted salicylaldehydes and N-substituted ethylenediamines to form two series of compounds, normal or mixed-ligand chelates, according to the nature of substituents at the nitrogen ethylenediamine atom. Visible spectra suggest a five-coordinate structure for normal complexes, resulting from coordination of two Schiff bases acting bidentately around a vanadyl unit, and a hexacoordinate structure for mixed-ligand complexes, resulting from coordination of a salicylaldehyde group and a Schiff base acting tridentately around a vanadyl unit.
