Benzmalecene, also known as dibenzocycloheptene, is a polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon (PAH) consisting of a benzene ring fused to a cycloheptene ring. It is a colorless, crystalline solid with a molecular formula of C15H12 and a molecular weight of 192.26 g/mol. Benzmalecene is a member of the PAH family, which are known for their potential carcinogenic and mutagenic properties. Due to its complex structure and limited availability, benzmalecene has not been extensively studied, and its properties, applications, and health effects are not well-documented.
