An anthracene group was linked to the N-heterocyclic carbene moiety of a M71-SIPr-type Ru complex. The tagged complex thus obtained was immobilized by charge-transfer interactions to a 2,4,7-trinitrofluoren-9-one-grafted passivated silica. The immobilized complex proved to be an efficient olefin metathesis catalyst and was reused five times in a multisubstrate olefin metathesis procedure.
Phosphorus containing compounds as antihypercholesterolemic and antiatherosclerotic agents

, (2008/06/13)
Novel phosphorus containing compounds are described, as well as methods for the preparation and pharmaceutical composition of same, which are useful in preventing the intestinal absorption of cholesterol and thus are useful in the treatment of hypercholesterolemia and atherosclerosis.
