Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 152697-00-2 includes 9 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 6 digits, 1,5,2,6,9 and 7 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 0 and 0 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 152697-00:
(8*1)+(7*5)+(6*2)+(5*6)+(4*9)+(3*7)+(2*0)+(1*0)=142
142 % 10 = 2
So 152697-00-2 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Mono- and Bi-nuclear Complexes of Ruthenium(II) with the Ligand 1-(Diphenylphosphino)-2-(2-pyridyl)ethane

Costella, Luigina,Zotto, Alessandro Del,Mezzetti, Antonio,Zangrando, Ennio,Rigo, Pierluigi

, p. 3001 - 3008 (1993)

The ligand 1-(diphenylphosphino)-2-(2-pyridyl)ethane (ppye) forms six-co-ordinate species (X = Cl, Br or I), the solution behaviour of which has been investigated by 31P- and 13C- NMR, UV/VIS spectroscopy, and conductivity measurements.Halide dissociation from the neutral species yields the five-co-ordinate cations (+) which can dimerize to (2+) depending on the size of the halide. The chloro derivative 2 has been characterized crystallographically. Both the five-co-ordinate cations and the dimeric species react with carbon monoxide forming cationic monocarbonyls, while the octahedral species undergo rupture of the Ru-N bond and neutral carbonyl derivatives are formed containing a dangling, P-bound ppye ligand. All these carbonyl derivatives are formed as the kinetically preferred species with a P atom trans to CO, and are converted in solution at room temperature into the thermodynamically preferred isomers in which the P and CO groups are mutually cis.
