Reaction of Diphenylketene with some Cyclohexa-3,5-diene-1,2-cis-diol Derivatives: Conversion of Chlorobenzene into Optically Active 2-Oxabicycloocten-3-one
Pittol, Carlos A.,Roberts, Stanley M.,Sutton, Peter W.,Williams, Julian O.
, p. 803 - 804 (1994)
The dienes 11-15 react with diphenylketene to give mixtures of the corresponding -adducts 16-20 and -adducts 21-25: the isomers 19/24 were converted into the optically active lactone 26 in two steps.
Conversion of benzene and chlorobenzene into polyhydroxylated cyclohexane derivatives related to cyclophellitol
Roberts, Stanley M.,Sutton, Peter W.
, p. 1499 - 1504 (2007/10/02)
Reaction of the dienes 4-6 with diphenylketene gave the -adducts 7-9 and the -adducts 10-12, respectively. The -adduct 10 has been converted into the ester 14 and the tetraol 16; the latter compound is an isomer of cyclophellitol 17.
