Paragraph 0014, (2016/10/07)
The invention relates to a method for adopting a 2,9-dimethyl-4,7-diphenyl-1,10-o-phenanthroline carborane bis (diphenylphosphine) copper (i) complex to catalyze a dehydrogenative coupling reaction of a 2-methylquinoline compound and a tetrahydroisoquinoline compound under visible light. According to the preparation method, the 2,9-dimethyl-4,7-diphenyl-1,10-o-phenanthroline carborane bis (diphenylphosphine) copper (i) complex as a photocatalyst, corresponding 2-methylquinoline, tetrahydroisoquinoline and m-toluic acid are mixed in the mole ratio being 0.015:2:1:3, solvents acetonitrile and methyl alcohol are added, acetonitrile and methyl alcohol are mixed in the volume ratio being 1:1, a reaction system is full of oxygen, 3.5w white-light LED lamp strip is placed in a position 2 cm away from a reaction flask, the solvents are evacuated from the reaction system after 35 h, and a corresponding product is obtained through silica-gel column chromatography separation. The method has the benefits that the visible light is used for reaction catalysis, and environmental protection and low carbon are realized.

supporting information, p. 2428 - 2431 (2014/05/06)
A copper/Bronsted acid dual-catalyst promoted oxidative cross-dehydrogenative-coupling of alkylazaarenes and tertiary amines for C(sp3)-C(sp3) bond formation was developed. This method uses dioxygen as the terminal oxidant under mild reaction conditions and would provide a convenient benzylic C-H transformation of alkylazaarenes to biologically active pharmaceutics. the Partner Organisations 2014.
