Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 16776-31-1 includes 8 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 5 digits, 1,6,7,7 and 6 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 3 and 1 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 16776-31:
(7*1)+(6*6)+(5*7)+(4*7)+(3*6)+(2*3)+(1*1)=131
131 % 10 = 1
So 16776-31-1 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Visible-Light Photoredox Catalyzed Dehydrogenative Synthesis of Allylic Carboxylates from Styrenes

Bandini, Marco,Battaglioli, Simone,Liu, Yang,Lombardi, Lorenzo,Menichetti, Arianna,Montalti, Marco,Valenti, Giovanni

, p. 4441 - 4446 (2021/06/28)

The visible-light photoredox/[Co(III)] cocatalyzed dehydrogenative functionalization of cyclic and acyclic styryl derivatives with carboxylic acids is documented. The methodology enables the chemo- and regioselective allylic functionalization of styryl compounds, leading to allylic carboxylates (32 examples) under stoichiometric acceptorless conditions. Intermolecular as well as intramolecular variants are documented in high yields (up to 82%). A mechanistic rationale is also proposed on the basis of a combined experimental and spectroscopic investigation.

Cobalt-Catalyzed Desymmetric Isomerization of Exocyclic Olefins

Lan, Yu,Liu, Qiang,Liu, Shihan,Liu, Xufang,Rong, Xianle

supporting information, p. 20633 - 20639 (2021/12/17)

Chiral cyclic olefins, 1-methylcyclohexenes, are versatile building blocks for the synthesis of pharmaceuticals and natural products. Despite the prevalence of these structural motifs, the development of efficient synthetic methods remains an unmet challenge. Herein we report a novel desymmetric isomerization of exocyclic olefins using a series of newly designed chiral cobalt catalysts, which enables a straightforward construction of chiral 1-methylcyclohexenes with diversified functionalities. The synthetic utility of this methodology is highlighted by a concise and enantioselective synthesis of a natural product, β-bisabolene. The versatility of the reaction products is further demonstrated by multifarious derivatizations.

Unprecedented stereochemical control in the intramolecular ene-reactions of δ,ε-unsaturated aldehydes using exceptionally bulky organoaluminum reagents: Elucidation of the transition state

Ooi,Maruoka,Yamamoto

, p. 6505 - 6522 (2007/10/02)

Unprecendented stereochemical control has been achieved in the type II intramolecular ene reactions of δ,ε-unsaturated aldehydes leading to trans-cyclohexanols with excellent selectivity under very mild conditions, using exceptionally bulky methylaluminum bis(4-bromo-2,6-di-tert-butylphenoxide) (MABR). Success of the stereocontrolled cyclization can be ascribable to the ability of this modified organoaluminum reagents, MABR, to change the conformation of the transition state. Examining the ene reactions of substrates 7, 11, 14 with MABR, the stereochemical outcome of the present organoaluminum-promoted intramolecular ene reactions is further elucidated.
