-4-Hydroxy-L-threonine
Wolf, Eckardt,Spenser, Ian D.
, p. 6937 - 6940 (1995)
An eight-step synthesis of -4-hydroxy-L-threonine -(2S,3S)-2-amino-3,4-dihydroxybutanoic acid> is described, starting from acetylene, in an overall yield of 13percent.Since a key intermediate of the synthetic sequence, 4-(benzyloxy)-(Z)-but-2-en-1-ol, is available commercially, the method furnishes a convenient four-step synthesis of nonenriched 4-hydroxy-L-threonine, in an overall yield of 27percent.
