Reaction of 1,3-diselenanes with metal amides

1,3-Diselenanes are efficiently metallated by LDA or better by KDA. On conformationally rigid derivatives, metallation is more efficient on equatorial hydrogen and leads to 2-metallo-diselenanes bearing the metal in equatorial position.
