NAPHTHOL AS-GR PURIFIED GRADE is a dark yellow powder with a melting point of 270℃. It is insoluble in water but soluble in butanol and pyridine. When dissolved in sulfuric acid, it appears yellow-brown, and in sodium hydroxide solution, it exhibits a red-orange color. However, it does not dissolve in a sodium carbonate solution. This product is primarily used as a dyeing agent for cotton and viscose, and it is known for its high affinity for cotton.
Usage:
Used in Textile Industry:
NAPHTHOL AS-GR PURIFIED GRADE is used as a dyeing agent for cotton and viscose fibers. Its high affinity for cotton makes it an ideal choice for dyeing these materials. It is particularly effective in providing a green color to the fabric, and it is generally not used for printing purposes due to its limited solubility.

Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 1830-77-9 includes 7 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 4 digits, 1,8,3 and 0 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 7 and 7 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 1830-77:
(6*1)+(5*8)+(4*3)+(3*0)+(2*7)+(1*7)=79
79 % 10 = 9
So 1830-77-9 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Fluorescent substrates for potential use in enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay of membrane-bound nucleic acids

Fujita, Satoshi,Momiyama, Masayoshi,Kondo, Yasumitsu,Kagiyama, Naoto,Hori, Samuel H.,Toru, Takeshi

, p. 1347 - 1353 (2007/10/02)

A number of phosphorylated fluorochromes were synthesized and tested for the alkaline phosphatase-linked fluorescence assay of membrane-bound nucleic acids. 3-Hydroxy-N-2′-biphenyl-2-naphthalenecarboxamide phosphate ester (HBNP) was found to be the most suitable for the assay. Nonfluorescent HBNP is hydrolyzed by phospholipase bound to the probe DNA to the highly fluorescent 3-hydroxy-N,2′-biphenyl-2-naphthalenecarboxamide (HBN). HBN is insoluble enough in aqueous medium to precipitate on the nylon membrane. Spots containing as little as 5 fg of λ DNA can be successfully detected on the membrane with HBNP.
