The invention provides an oxime ester compound and a photocurable composition comprising the same, and more particularly, relates to a photocurable composition comprising a photocurable compound and aphotopolymerization initiator, wherein the photopolymerization initiator comprises an oxime ester compound. The photocurable composition has a high sensitivity and can inhibit the generation of outgassing, thereby reducing the foreign matter defect rate and suppressing solvent leaching, thereby improving the problem of liquid crystal contamination due to solvent leaching of the contaminated liquid crystal. The above oxime ester compound is represented by the following Chemical Formula 1, wherein, R1 is a linear or branched alkyl group of C1 to C12; R2 is a linear or branched alkyl group of C1to C12; and X is one selected from a group consisting of Cl, Br and I.
