Conjugation enhancement of intramolecular exciton migration in poly(p-phenylene ethynylene)s
Nesterov, Evgueni E.,Zhu, Zhengguo,Swager, Timothy M.
, p. 10083 - 10088 (2005)
Efficient energy migration in conjugated polymers is critical to their performance in photovoltaic, display, and sensor devices. The ability to precisely control the polymer conformation is a key issue for the experimental investigations and deeper unders
Polyaromatic label-assisted laser desorption ionization mass spectrometry (LA-LDI MS): A new analytical technique for selective detection of zinc ion
Addy, Partha Sarathi,Basu Roy, Sohini,Mandal, Santi Mohan,Basak, Amit
, p. 23314 - 23318 (2014)
An external matrix-free LDI technique for selective detection zinc ion is described. An internal polyaromatic label helped desorption cum ionization processes. The method is free of cross-interference which as often faced in fluorescence based methods.
Luminescent Carbon Dot Mimics Assembled on DNA
Chan, Ke Min,Xu, Wang,Kwon, Hyukin,Kietrys, Anna M.,Kool, Eric T.
, p. 13147 - 13155 (2017/09/26)
Nanometer-sized fragments of carbon in the form of multilayer graphene ("carbon dots") have been under highly active study for applications in imaging. While offering advantages of low toxicity and photostability, such nanomaterials are inhomogeneous and
1-(Phenylethynyl)pyrene and 9,10-bis(phenylethynyl)anthracene, useful fluorescent dyes for DNA labeling: Excimer formation and energy transfer
Malakhov, Andrei D.,Skorobogatyi, Mikhail V.,Prokhorenko, Igor A.,Gontarev, Sergei V.,Kozhich, Dmitry T.,Stetsenko, Dmitry A.,Stepanova, Irina A.,Shenkarev, Zakhar O.,Berlin, Yuri A.,Korshun, Vladimir A.
, p. 1298 - 1307 (2007/10/03)
A series of novel modifying reagents, including phosphoramidites and solid supports, have been synthesized, and used for the introduction of 1-(phenylethynyl)pyrene (PEPy) and 9,10-bis(phenylethynyl)anthracene (BPEA) fluorescent dyes into predetermined positions of synthetic oligonucleotides. These two fluorophores have been shown to constitute an energy donor-acceptor pair, and can be used as such in fluorescent oligonucleotide probes, designed for the detection and structural studies of nucleic acids. The sensitivity of the probe to duplex formation is demonstrated. The formation of the PEPy and BPEA excimers is reported for the first time on nucleic acids. Wiley-VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA, 69451 Weinheim, Germany, 2004.
Synthesis of a new fluorescent 9,10-Bisphenylethynylanthracene-derived pseudonucleoside and its introduction into oligonucleotides
Malakhov,Prokhorenko,Kuznitsova,Skorobogatyi,Korshun,Berlin
, p. 830 - 833 (2007/10/03)
The functionalization of the fluorescent hydrocarbon 9,10-Bisphenylethynylanthracene to afford its dihydroxybutyl derivative was developed. Based on this pseudonucleoside, the phosphoramidite and a solid-phase support were obtained and used for the prepar
