Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 18653-96-8 includes 8 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 5 digits, 1,8,6,5 and 3 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 9 and 6 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 18653-96:
(7*1)+(6*8)+(5*6)+(4*5)+(3*3)+(2*9)+(1*6)=138
138 % 10 = 8
So 18653-96-8 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Novel chromium (III) complexes with N4-donor ligands as catalysts for the coupling of CO2 and epoxides in supercritical CO2

Cuesta-Aluja, Laia,Djoufak, Mary,Aghmiz, Ali,Rivas, Raquel,Christ, Lorraine,Masdeu-Bultó, Anna M.

, p. 161 - 170 (2013/12/04)

New neutral and cationic chromium(III) complexes with N4 Schiff base ligands have been prepared and characterized. These complexes are active catalysts for the cycloaddition of CO2 and styrene oxide in CH 2Cl2 solutions, affording epoxide conversions in a 39-92% range, with encouraging cyclic carbonate yields (up to 63%). It is to notice that the cationic species were significantly more active than their neutral analogs. Addition of tetrabutylammonium halides improved the selectivity toward styrene carbonate (87% yield). Dichloromethane could be avoided using solvent free or supercritical carbon dioxide as a solvent (scCO2) and, moreover, this improved the catalytic activity of the cationic complexes (TOF up to 652 h-1). Using scCO2, these chromium catalysts afforded the rapid and selective formation of cyclic carbonates from the coupling of CO2 to various linear terminal epoxides, such as epichlorydrin, propylene oxide and long chain terminal oxiranes. Coupling of cyclohexene oxide and carbon dioxide led to mixtures of poly(cyclohexene) carbonate and cyclic carbonate depending on the conditions (pressure and co-catalyst/catalyst ratio). Poly(cyclohexene) carbonate was isolated with a productivity 388 g/g Cr. Selective formation of the cyclic cyclohexene carbonate was obtained working under scCO2 conditions.

Synthesis and characterization of some new Cd(II) and Zn(II) macrocyclic Schiff base complexes derived from cyclocondensation of three new linear aromatic (N4) amines and 2,6-diacetylpyridine. Crystal structure and biological activity studies

Keypour, Hassan,Liyaghati-Delshad, Mozhdeh,Rezaeivala, Majid,Khavasi, Hamid Reza

, p. 1473 - 1482 (2014/11/08)

Six new Cd(II) and Zn(II) macrocyclic Schiff base complexes from cyclocondensation of 2,6-diacetylpyridine and three different liner aromatic amines have been investigated. The resulting ligands, L1 and L 2 are 17- and L3 18-membered pentaaza macrocycles. The complexes have been characterized by a variety of methods such as IR, elemental analysis, EI-Mass and conductivity measurements and in the case of cadmium complex by 1H and 13C NMR spectroscopy. The crystal structure of [CdL1(CH3OH)](ClO4)2 has been determined. In this complex, the Cd(II) ion is coordinated to five nitrogen donor atoms of the ligand and one oxygen atom from methanol in a N 5O environment. The geometry around the cadmium can be better described as in a slightly distorted pentagonal-pyramidal. The synthesized compounds have antibacterial activity against the three gram-positive bacteria: S. aureus, B. cereus and C. xerosis, and also against the three gram-negative bacteria: E. coli, K. pneumoniae and P. vulgaris. The results show that the antibacterial activity of cadmium complexes is greater than that of zinc complexes.

Synthesis and characterization of Bis-quinazolines from linear tetra-amines involving 2-(aminomethyl)benzenamine with aldehydes

Azadbakht, Reza,Khodabandeh, Maryame,Keypour, Hassan,Baghdad Abadi, Reza Haji Hosseini,Rudbari, Hadi Amiri

, p. 979 - 981 (2013/08/23)

Three tetra-amine compounds 2-((2-(2-aminobenzylamino)ethylamino)methyl) benzenamine (L1), 2-((3-(2-aminobenzylamino)propylamino)methyl) benzenamine (L2), and 2-((4-(2-aminobenzylamino)butylamino)methyl) benzenamine (L3) were synthesized and then their reaction with 2-hydroxybenzaldehyde, 2-nitrobenzaldehyde, and 2-hydroxy-3-methoxybenzaldehyde were investigated. Treatment of L1, L2, and L3 with the former aldehydes gave derivatives of quinazolines in a good yield. The products have been studied with IR, 1H NMR, 13C NMR, COSY, HMQC, and microanalysis.

The interaction of cuii and niii with a pyridmyl-derived n5-macrocycle

Adams, Harry,Bailey, Neil A.,Fenton, David E.,Kitchen, Simon J.,Najera, Bianca A.

, p. 88 - 92 (2007/10/03)

The interaction of CuII and NiII with the macrocycle L2. containing an N5-donor set, has been investigated. Conductometric titration with chloride indicated the formation of 1:1 complexes. The X-ray crystal structures of [CuL2](ClO4)2 and |NiL2(NO3)](NO3)·EtOH have" been determined. The metal atoms in complexes are endomacrocyclic with the Cu atom in a penta-coordinate environment comprised of the ligand N5-donor set. The nickel atom is in an approximately octahedral environment derived from the ligand N5-donor set and a monodentate nitrate anion. Springer-Verlag Ihcrica 1997.
