FLUFENPYR-ETHYL is an ethyl ester derived from the formal condensation of the carboxy group of flufenpyr with ethanol. It is a contact herbicide used for the control of broad-leaved weeds. FLUFENPYR-ETHYL acts as a protoporphyrinogen oxidase inhibitor, causing protoporphyrins to accumulate, which damages the membrane structure and cellular function. However, it is no longer approved for use in the European Union.

Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 188489-07-8 includes 9 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 6 digits, 1,8,8,4,8 and 9 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 0 and 7 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 188489-07:
(8*1)+(7*8)+(6*8)+(5*4)+(4*8)+(3*9)+(2*0)+(1*7)=198
198 % 10 = 8
So 188489-07-8 is a valid CAS Registry Number.
