Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 19019-45-5 includes 8 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 5 digits, 1,9,0,1 and 9 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 4 and 5 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 19019-45:
(7*1)+(6*9)+(5*0)+(4*1)+(3*9)+(2*4)+(1*5)=105
105 % 10 = 5
So 19019-45-5 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Synthesis, Surface Activities and Toluene Solubilization by Amine-oxide Gemini Surfactants

Liu, Hongqin,Hu, Jun,Xu, Baocai,Zhao, Tingting,Shi, Guoying,Zhang, Guiju

, p. 673 - 680 (2016)

A series of amine-oxide gemini surfactants featuring amide groups [N, N’-dimethyl-N, N’-bis(2-alkylamideethyl)-ethylenediamine oxide (alkyl?=?C11H23, C13H27, C15H31, C17H35)] have been synthesized via a three-step synthetic route, and their chemical structures were confirmed by mass spectra, FTIR and 1H-NMR spectra. The surface activities of these compounds have been measured. The results show that these synthesized amine-oxide gemini surfactants reduced the surface tension of water to a minimum value of approximately 26.91?mN?m?1 at a concentration of 2.92?×?10?5mol?L?1. Furthermore, their critical micelle concentration (CMC) values and solubilization of toluene decrease with an increase of the hydrophobic chain length from 12 to 18. Isoelectric point measurements revealed that their pI values range from 4.0 to 10.5.

Synthesis of bis[N,N′-(alkylamideethyl)ethyl] triethylenediamine bromide surfactants and their Oilfield application investigation

Zhou, Ming,Zhao, Jinzhou,Hu, Xingqi

, p. 309 - 315 (2012)

Bis[N,N′-(alkylamideethyl)ethyl] triethylenedi-amine surfactants are quaternary ammonium salt Gemini surfactants with amide, which are synthesized from fatty acid (dodecanoic, hexadecanoic, tetradecanoic and octa-decanoic) methyl esters, triethylene tetramine and ethyl bromide. The chemical structures of the prepared compounds were characterized by elemental analysis, FTIR and 1H-NMR spectra, melting point and Krafft point. Several properties of the synthesized surfactants were studied including surface tension, critical micelle concentration, interfacial tension, emulsification power, salt effect, corrosion inhibition efficiency and biological activity. The results show that the surface activity, critical micelle concentration and interfacial activity are correlated to their chemical structures. The emulsification power measurements of these surfactants show their low emulsifying tendency towards Tazhong's crude oil from Tarim Oilfield. The synthesized surfactants also exhibit high biocidal activity towards Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria and fungi. This activity increases with the increase of alkyl chain length. The corrosion measurement of these surfactants in acidic media with a weight loss technique show good protection of mild steel alloys against acidic environments. These properties suggest that the synthesized compounds have potential for application in the oilfield area.
