Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 19102-38-6 includes 8 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 5 digits, 1,9,1,0 and 2 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 3 and 8 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 19102-38:
(7*1)+(6*9)+(5*1)+(4*0)+(3*2)+(2*3)+(1*8)=86
86 % 10 = 6
So 19102-38-6 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Synthesis and anticonvulsant testing of 4-phenylsemicarbazides

Kornet,Chu

, p. 1213 - 1215 (1983)

A series of compounds based on the semicarbazide structure have been synthesized. Anticonvulsant activity was found in a majority of the compounds using both the maximal electroshock seizure and the subcutaneous pentylenetetrazol seizure threshold tests.
