The preparation of novel (η3-Allyl)Fe(CO)2(NO) complexes with planar chirality has been achieved via separation of the diastereomeric complexes having chiral amide and ester groups as auxiliaries. X-ray analysis and CD spectra revealed the structural assignment of the complexes thus obtained.
