ECDYSONE-2-ACETATE, BETA-(SH) is used as an antimicrobial agent for its ability to completely inhibit the growth of bacteria such as S. aureus, E. coli, and P. vulgaris, as well as fungi like C. albicans, A. alternata, and F. solani when used at a concentration of 10 μg/ml.
Used in Pharmaceutical Industry:
ECDYSONE-2-ACETATE, BETA-(SH) is used as a pharmaceutical agent for its potential to modulate the aggregation and fibril formation of amyloid-β (1-42) (Aβ42), reducing its cytotoxicity in SH-SY5Y cells. This makes it a promising candidate for the development of therapeutic agents targeting neurodegenerative diseases associated with amyloid-β aggregation, such as Alzheimer's disease.
