Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 201011-63-4 includes 9 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 6 digits, 2,0,1,0,1 and 1 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 6 and 3 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 201011-63:
(8*2)+(7*0)+(6*1)+(5*0)+(4*1)+(3*1)+(2*6)+(1*3)=44
44 % 10 = 4
So 201011-63-4 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Oligo(p-quinone methide)s bridged with thiophene rings. Novel oligomeric, quinonoid π-systems with high electron affinity

Kurata, Hiroyuki,Hisamitsu, Akihito,Oda, Masaji

, p. 8875 - 8878 (1997)

Novel cross-conjugated oligomers composed of p-quinone methides and thiophenes, synthesized up to tetramer, possess substantially high electron affinity (CV). Alkali metal reduction of the dimer yields a stereoisomeric mixture of stable dianions, and protonation with trifluoroacetic acid generates the corresponding monocation and dication depending on acid strength.
