Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 204841-08-7 includes 9 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 6 digits, 2,0,4,8,4 and 1 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 0 and 8 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 204841-08:
(8*2)+(7*0)+(6*4)+(5*8)+(4*4)+(3*1)+(2*0)+(1*8)=107
107 % 10 = 7
So 204841-08-7 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Metal Dependence of the Contributions of Low-Frequency Normal Coordinates to the Sterically Induced Distortions of Meso-Dialkyl-Substituted Porphyrins

Song, Xing-Zhi,Jaquinod, Laurent,Jentzen, Walter,Nurco, Daniel J.,Jia, Song-Ling,Khoury, Richard G.,Ma, Jian-Guo,Medforth, Craig J.,Smith, Kevin M.,Shelnutt, John A.

, p. 2009 - 2019 (1998)

The influence of central metals of different sizes on the macrocyclic structure of a series of 5,15-disubstituted metalloporphyrins has been investigated with X-ray crystallography, molecular mechanics (MM) calculations, and resonance Raman spectroscopy. MM calculations indicate that the series of porphyrins are in a gabled (gab) conformation consisting of a linear combination of ruf (B1u) and dom (Azu) out-of-plane normal-coordinate deformation types. The MM-calculatcd gab structures have been structurally decomposed into equivalent displacements along the lowest-frequency normal coordinate of each symmetry type. The contributions of each normal coordinate to the total distortion agree well with the contributions obtained from normal-coordinate structural decomposition of the X-ray crystal structures. Symmetry considerations show that any relative proportion of the ruf and dom deformations is allowed in the gab distortion. Varying the size of the central metal causes a change in the ratio of the dom/ruf contributions. A large metal like zinc disfavors ruffling over doming, significantly reducing the ruffling contribution and slightly increasing the doming contribution. In addition, the total degree of nonplanar distortion is reduced for large metals. This is confirmed for the series of disubstituted metalloporphyrins by smaller downshifts of the structure-sensitive Raman lines for the larger metals.

Peripherally-metallated porphyrins: Preparations, spectroscopic properties and structural studies of trans-[PtBr(MDPP)(PPh3)2] (DPP = dianion of 5,15-diphenylporphyrin, M = MnCl, Co, Ni, Zn) and related meso-η1-organoplatinum porphyrins

, p. 4497 - 4504 (2007/10/03)

A series of meso-η1-platiniometalloporphyrins comprising DPP (= dianion of 5,15-diphenylporphyrin) and the first row transition metal ions Mn(III), Co(II), Ni(II) and Zn(II) has been prepared. The syntheses, spectroscopy and voltammetry as well as crystal structures of several of these derivatives are reported. The -PtBr(PPh3)2 moiety attached to the macrocycle at the meso position is a strong electron donor, as shown by its effects on spectra, oxidation potentials and reactivity. The crystal structures of trans-[PtBr(MDPP)(PPh3)2]·0.5CH2Cl2 , where M = Co (16), Ni (14) and Zn (17), and trans-[PtBr(NiDPPBr)(PPh3)2] were determined. The structures exhibit non-planar distortions of the macrocycle which are best described as hybrids of typical ruffled and saddled conformations.
