Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 20758-68-3 includes 8 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 5 digits, 2,0,7,5 and 8 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 6 and 8 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 20758-68:
(7*2)+(6*0)+(5*7)+(4*5)+(3*8)+(2*6)+(1*8)=113
113 % 10 = 3
So 20758-68-3 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Molar enthalpy of formation of californium tribromide

Fuger, J.,Haire, R. G.,Wilmarth, W. R.,Peterson, J. R.

, p. 99 - 104 (1990)

The enthalpy of solution in 1.000 mol dm-3 hydrochloric acid of californium tribromide in its room temperature stable monoclinic form was measured at 298.15 ± 0.05 K and at p° = 101.325 kPa as → (181.4 ± 0.9) kJ mol-1. Combination of

Raman spectra of selected transuranium trihalides in the solid state

Wilmarth, W. R.,Begun, G. M.,Haire, R. G.,Peterson, J. R.

, p. 4666 - 4670 (2007/10/02)

Raman spectral data have been obtained from a number of transuranium trihalides in the solid state. The Raman spectra of these actinide compounds are reported and compared to the published Raman spectra of isostructural compounds.Tentative symmetry assignments have been made for the observed Raman-active lattice vibrations based on nuclear site symmetry analysis of their respective crystal structures and comparisons to the symmetry assignments made for isostructural lanthanide compounds. The Raman spectral data obtained in this study represent a partial data base for the use of Raman spectroscopy for identifying the crystal structures exhibited by these and isostructural compounds.
