Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 210407-20-8 includes 9 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 6 digits, 2,1,0,4,0 and 7 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 2 and 0 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 210407-20:
(8*2)+(7*1)+(6*0)+(5*4)+(4*0)+(3*7)+(2*2)+(1*0)=68
68 % 10 = 8
So 210407-20-8 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

CuI catalyzed sulfonylation of organozinc reagents with sulfonyl halides

Fu, Ying,Zhu, Wenbo,Zhao, Xingling,Huegel, Helmut,Wu, Zhouqiang,Su, Yuhu,Du, Zhengyin,Huang, Danfeng,Hu, Yulai

supporting information, p. 4295 - 4299 (2014/06/23)

In this study, a facile CuI catalyzed synthesis of sulfones involving a nucleophilic addition of functionalized organozinc reagents to organic sulfonyl chlorides is realized. This reaction proceeds efficiently at room temperature, giving rise to various functional group substituted sulfones, generally in moderate to high yields. The method provides a novel, simple, and promising strategy for functionalized sulfone synthesis in the research field of sulfur chemistry. the Partner Organisations 2014.

New chemical synthesis of functionalized arylzinc compounds from aromatic or thienyl bromides under mild conditions using a simple cobalt catalyst and zinc dust

Fillon, Hyacinthe,Gosmini, Corinne,Perichon, Jacques

, p. 3867 - 3870 (2007/10/03)

A new chemical method for the preparation of arylzinc intermediates is described in acetonitrile, on the basis of the activation of aryl bromides by low-valent cobalt species arising from the reduction of cobalt halide by zinc dust. This procedure allows for the synthesis of a variety of functionalized aryl- and thienylzinc species in good to excellent yields. The versatility and the simplicity of that original method represent an alternative to most known procedures.
