Absorption through an ac glow discharge associated with a velocity modulation detection technique efficiently recorded spectra of TiCl+. Owing to the high sensitivity of this technique, it was possible to analyze the weak and/or overlapped transitions, the study of which allowed the identification of the A 3Δ(v = 0) state located 350 cm-1 above the X 3Φ(v = 0) state. From the study of the contributions of the basis functions to the eigenvectors of the diagonalized matrix it was possible to determine the mixing ratio of the Ω = 3 components of the A 3Δ(v = 0) and X 3Φ(v = 1) states and to evidence a reversal of the leading character of these components.
